It didn't really need too much touching up, but many of you said, you'd find it interesting to see the process :) Let me know your thoughts <3 Oh and I am sorry I couldn't figure out how to turn the settings into english... I have a question. Would you guys be interested in watching me edit an image? I could screen record the process going entirely from an unedited image to the finished product... I know this is sort of like the big secret that photographers usually don't share, but I think my work is unique enough that I am not worried about anyone copying it / copying it well enough that I'd feel 'threatened' Let me know what you think 💜

An artist that I work with frequently asked for some more reference images from a low angle, so that's exactly what I created in this video... The real video is only 4 minutes long, but do you want to take a guess at how many usable images I got in that short time? When working like this, I just set my camera to a mode where it takes an image automatically every three seconds, which frees up my hands and makes the process a bit quicker... here I was actually thinking I should have set it faster still since I know very precisely what I am trying to create and can move through the poses rather quickly... It's so nice to be able to create so efficiently, without needing the help of anyone else :) I also got a new phone that I recorded this video on a I am very happy with the quality :)

I had such a great day today!! Part of it was that I got to shoot with Matthias Ferec Mak! 😊 Here's a little sneak peak from it. I found it really interesting to see how the different light in these two images, as well as some subtle changes in pose and hair can change the whole "vibe" of the image... I love both but I'm curious which one you prefer and why? I'm having a hard time choosing which one I should post tomorrow... I'll give you some time to express what your thoughts are and will give my thoughts on what I like about each image tomorrow 💜☀️ maybe you can make me notice something I hadn't considered before...

The images from this bathtub session were never posted, I believe... We had a really hard time getting the light right and it was a pretty small space to work in as well, which didn't make it easier. But against all odds I still had a lot of fun!

A tasteful way to do closeups of your boobs? That definitely wasn't what I had intended when doing this, but in the end I felt it was by far the most interesting! Playing with the different shapes and how they distort the body or exaggerated the forms... I find it quite fascinating! I am thinking of giving this another try tomorrow, if I have good light ☀ Would you enjoy me filming the process of painting on myself? 🖌 🌈

I created this video over a year ago, but as far as I remember I never posted it... It was an experiment in capturing more movement, instead of just still images. In my head often times, when I see a photograph I can see the whole movement around that singular moment. I see how it was before and what it transformed into afterwards. Like an eternal dance it plays over and over in my head... Maybe that's sort of what I wanted to capture in this... How it isn't just one still image but a whole movement around it as well...

When I first started taking ‘self-portraits’ I didn’t have any proper equipment… I didn’t even have a camera I could use for it. But the need to create prevailed, so I just used what I had. (What pretty much all of us have) My phone. I would prop it up, putting a candle or a glass in front of it so it wouldn’t fall over and just rolled a video and did some kind of movements that I thought might look interesting. Then afterwards I would go through the video and cut out any still images that spoke to me and I would try to edit them as best as I could… Looking back now, my movement seems unsure and awkward to me. I almost can not believe I used to work with such low quality images… Not only are the jpegs but they are basically just screenshots… But oh well… There is no shame there :) I actually have to say I feel proud that I didn’t let myself be stopped by any of this and looking back at nearly a year and a half of this, I am impressed at how far I have come… How much I have learned and developed and at all the incredible people I have gotten to work with in this time. I can barely imagine where I will be a year from now… If you find these videos interesting, I have a bunch of them in real time as well (this one is very sped up). If there is any interest in them I can send some out to you :) let me know <3

I am so so happy with these images @juliagoma and I got together with Nicola Bongiorno! 😊 💜 These are some of the final edited images from the time lapse that I sent you today 😉 We just had such a nice slowmotion flow with each other ☀ It feels so great to be able to be close with someone else in the nude like this, doing what you love and creating... It's incredibly liberating and just pure fun. Because there's no taboos or things you can do wrong. Doing some experimental things again... I certainly have noticed lately, that there is a certain craving for something louder or harder in my images. Self portraiture is a continuous exploration of oneself I believe, so it makes sense to me, that there will also naturally be a phase of pushing the boundaries, of what is comfortable and accepted or seen as normal... I have never felt "normal" and I don't think anyone could give me a good explanation as to what "normal" actually is anyway. So I can only go off of what I feel, what arises in me naturally and as an artist I have no choice, but to lay it bare in my art. My art is my heart, in all its vulnerability and openness, I want to present myself with an undeniable honesty. Actually I am not sure I have any other choice... This is what I am. This is what I have always been. This is what I will be until I die. And beyond...

Throwback to this self portrait series I took, sometime last year... This is another instance where I created a simple background with a black piece of fabric, in a relative small space I have (this is just on my bed)... I really like challenging myself to always find new spaces, in this house, where I can photograph and it's gotten to the point, that there isn't a room in this house, I haven't used :) on the other hand there is also a fascination for me, to keep returning to the same spot over and over again and to still create something that keeps me interested and inspired. To still create something meaningful, that gives me the sense of 'I haven't seen this before'... I hope I succeed in it. What do you think?

A few images from yesterday's self portrait session :) personally I feel these are kind of all over the place and a bit emotionally chaotic, but I do feel it's representative of my inner world at the moment. I find it really fascinating to see how strong these things came through… It wasn't even really my intention and even though there's a lot of anger and frustration that comes through in some of these images, in the moment itself, I felt very calm and happy. And connected to nature… Of course also the editing adds to it, it can make a break an image. When I was editing these, I was listening to some music and some of the images certainly made me quite emotional… What do they make you feel when you look at them?
