Made it here. It's a little hotel outside Reno. Tomorrow I'll go out in the desert, my home base is a tiny tiny town where half the town are all my Native American relatives. And they're having a town festival tomorrow, so I'll see many of them as they'll all be there.
And then maybe head out into the desert with one of my cousins. I've wanted to test my Benelli M4 semi-auto shotgun, but the range I go to makes you take a shotgun class before they'll let you use a shotgun on the range and I haven't gotten around to it. But there's no rules in the desert😆

Ok. I've had it. Just such a long super stressful week. So I just said the hell with it after work and am driving out to the high desert Nevada. Brought some of my rifles to practice for hunting season. The high desert is my happy place

Happy hump day. I need more vitamin D. And ya, at the gunsmith today, the man I refer to in this video, he kept talking to me so long at my truck window, the gunsmith came out and pointed at him "hey!" and made a cut-it-out sign to him and called him over. As I was leaving I heard the gunsmith saying "DONT DO THAT", as in bother his customers for so long. Although he wasn't bothering me.
(He was an older guy, coulda been a match for my mom, I think he hung out at the gun Smith just shootin the shit with people)

A long, long time ago my custom 7mm mag was confiscated by the ATF. I left it with a gunsmith to get some work done and he got raided 😳 it took years to get the gun back, and when I did, it was missing the bolt. Hmm, it's a bolt action...anyways, it's fixed now but I need a new scope on it for my upcoming hunt.
