And in this video, a summary of my CEO-to-CEO mtg this morning😅. And I think he was a little irritated too because we had BOTH spent a ton on attorneys to get to this finish line and then in comes one of his staff to upset the work. He even said "no, we've spent enough on attorneys, let's move forward as is". 100% agree.
And it's not a core business to me. It's an AI company that I found their technology in AI to be unique and intriguing - most AI is bullshit commodity, no one company is different than the other, and all of them have mediocre use cases. It's not gonna CHANGE THE WORLD as many people breathlessly say. It'll assist some work in new ways the same way the introduction of desktop computers changed workloads and the way people worked and made some jobs obsolete and enhanced other jobs. That's all AI is going to do, nothing new, no rocket science, no magic.
And this company's use cases of AI were compelling to me and I wanted to work with them out of curiosity. I'm not looking to spend or make a ton of money, and it was becoming burdensome to me and I even told the CEO "Hey, this is getting too hard. If we can't do this now, I gotta walk. It's not worth it to me"
...and we moved forward
