I’m hoping to be cleared for working out at my doc appointment tomorrow. Fingers crossed! Sorry for all the missed fitness days. I am soooo anxious to get back to my routine once my surgery recovery is complete, but I’m trusting the wisdom of the experts for timing, and it sounds like working out too soon is counterproductive. Just a little more patience!

Warning ⚠️ SURGERY RESULTS shown here 🌺 >> My Thursday Thoughts are all on 😴 at the moment, because I spent 24+ hours in the hospital holding a sick little one, but I know several of you have asked about my surgery 🔪 LAST Thursday (hence the week of no fitness vids & off-schedule content this week!). Recovery has gone amazing, and I am super pleased with the natural look of the results. I have been wanting this lift for 2 decades, since breastfeeding my firstborn. It doesn’t have to make sense to everyone or anyone else, and I know it’s super vulnerable to share this topless (nipples covered) pic, but if there’s anyone else out there who has a goal and has been putting it off for 2 decades, I hope my smile inspires you to spring into action & get that thing that lingers in your mind day after day done ✅ ❣️

It’s Beauty Tuesday, and although the doc says no fitness stuff this week, he couldn’t stop me from doing my hair! Pregaming summer with these boho goddess faux locs. I’m sharing the link for the hair. I think it was on a discount to $36 when I ordered, but it is around $39 now. Still a great deal for 8 packs (all you’ll need for a full head). These are installed in “singles” meaning they are not latch-hooked to cornrows, per a typical crochet installation. Lightweight & low maintenance style. Ride with that drop top (or windows rolled down), frolic at the beach or pool… or in bed 🤭 ~ Very little product needed for upkeep. Quick drying & soft to sleep on (in a bonnet or on a satin pillow case). 💞

Dropping 2 Thursday Thoughts from my recovery bed: 1) Judge Jackson is CONFIRMED! I think she will do an amazing job on the Supreme Court, and she has many years to serve at her age. 2) No criminal charges will be filed in the killing of Amir Locke during the no-knock warrant police break-in of his cousin’s apartment where he was sleeping. This is heartbreaking. In my experience with holding law enforcement accountable, this signals to me less of.an error on the prosecution side and more of a flaw in the use of force training and procedures in the local PD. If you are outraged, then I encourage you to put pressure on the PD to end no-knock warrants (you can also do this in your own community, as a preventative measure so there is not another Breonna Taylor or Amir Locke in another city), and demand an overhaul of the use of force training (call or write your city council and mayor as well as the Chief of Police). 📞 ✏️ I’m still in a lot of pain from the surgery but these two news topics cannot be ignored. ✌🏽💕
