This is daisy. She is the lightest puppy. She’s obviously adorable. She loves to cuddle her mom. All of them are starting to move around so much. They are all around the same size and two weighed the same amount today. They grow so much each day too. Everyone has only gained weight so that’s a very good sign.

So I did something that was bad. I started the eggs and never wrote down when I started them. So now I have no clue when they were started. It’s been 10 days since I’ve posted about this batch originally. I don’t think I started it on the day I posted. I think they were already incubating for a day or two already when I posted at least.

My goats are doing good. The boys have loved being with the girls. The extra space for them is very nice. The girls should be getting bred now. Hoping for some babies this year.

My chicks are getting bigger and bigger. I love watching them grow. They are getting more and more adult feathers so they are almost completely non fluffy anymore. Still have lots of more growing to do

Sunday is rues due date. She’s getting bigger everyday. I’m so excited for puppies. I have everything ready now if she does have them early. She’s been such a good cuddler lately, always wanting to cuddle. She also has been more tired since being pregnant so a lot of more naps.

I started jalapeños again. My first round of all my veggies aren’t showing any signs of growing. So I think I’m giving up on those. Jalapeños are a great pepper to start early because they have a longer grow time with 70-74 days until harvestable. So these I could possibly have ready by June if they go. We’ll see. This is my first year also trying to grow things early before the ground is ready because I have an idea for the garden and I want all started plants when I go to plant them.

So Marge got her head stuck inbetween the wall and some wood. It was actually really hard to get her out. But she’s all good and it didn’t seem like she got hurt at all. So it was a great turnout.

So I failed again with the incubator. I was keeping it in the well house and I kept hearing beeping coming from the incubator on cold days. It couldn’t keep the temperature warm enough. So I started over. This will be my last batch using this incubator. It’s inside now. I’m babying it. So we’ll see what happens.

Cuko passed away yesterday morning. He got to live 10 years. He was a very good boy all his life. He wasn’t ready to go yet he still had a few good months left in him but his stomach flipped.

Rhode Island Red is the name of these chicks. They on average lay more around 200-300 eggs per year. They are pretty active and curious. These chicks don’t devour the mealworms like the lavender Orpingtons. They seem to leave a few here and there instead of making sure they eat them all.

My wheatgrass is growing good. Almost one other batch done. I’ll probably let it grow for another 4-5 more days. We’ll see. I wonder how tall it’ll grow. Right now there’s still a ton of sprouts just popping out of the seeds so they aren’t grass yet. So it should be thicker too.

Lavender Orpington Chickens is a very good breed of chicken to have. They are super pretty but also are super weather hardy so perfect for my cold winters. They lay 170-200 eggs a year which is a pretty average chicken. I’m excited to see how these guys grow.

I had one quail not make it with the cold temps we had. It’s always super sad when one doesn’t make it. But it seems like the rest are doing good and it’s suppose to warm back up tomorrow. I don’t think anymore should pass this winter from the cold at least. I’m excited for the warm weather coming up and I’m sure they are too.

I got a new puppy today. Her name is Bella. She’s a 11 week old golden retriever puppy. She is definitely overwhelmed with the other dogs but I’m sure she’ll fit in just fine. She’ll be a dark golden retriever when she’s bigger. Her parents were sooooo pretty.

So the cats used up the cat grass to basically nothing. It lasted a long time. Now it’s time to start again. It was so much fun to grow I’m excited to be growing again.

The quail are doing good. A cool fun fact about them is just like how the quail stop laying when it’s to dark the male quail stop producing sperm too. It makes it impossible to sext them during the winter months.

So I started over with the incubator. I made sure the temperature was right and the humidity. This batch of eggs weren’t washed or pampered with this time either. I have another 21 days to wait until they hatch. They’ll be here before I know it.

So I’m not sure if I’ll be getting any chicks. I’ve been checking to make sure the temperature has stayed the same and it has. But when I set it, I set it wrong. The incubator has its temperature in Celsius I was a few degrees off I just realized today when I went to check and I didn’t have any early or on time hatches.

The goats are doing great being together. I was worried with two boys having competition but they seem to all get along really good. I love having them together. I think it’s amazing to see them be apart of a herd then just having a friend.

It’s day 18 on these chicken eggs. I’m so excited for them to hatch! I have 2-3 more days to wait until they will start to hatch. It’s going to be the best day ever when they hatch because dealing with baby chicks is the best thing ever. They are so cute and curious. Very entertaining to watch.

This is Cindy. Her two sisters just seem a little more advanced than her. She doesn’t seem to have Bart as a boyfriend like the rest do. She loves her sister Meana and I think Silver her other sister is her second favorite. I say that because Meana and Cindy do cuddle all day together in the same bed everyday. It’s pretty cute.

I planted lettuce today. I’ve actually never been successful once in my life planting it and ended up having a good plant. So we’ll see if this is any different. I think it would be really cool to have a nice producing lettuce plant.

This is tuck. Tuck is a good boy. He loves to be petted and will melt in your lap. He’s getting to be a big boy. He just keeps getting bigger. I don’t know if he’s done growing or not yet. Mostly done I’m sure.

I think I did it successfully this time. This was a fun experiment. I’m excited something’s growing for me this year so far. This will be the first harvestable thing I’ve grown this year so that’s cool. It was very interesting to see how much they grew and how fast. Everyday you can see changes which is pretty cool. That’s my favorite type of gardening when everyday you can see a difference in how much your stuff grows.
