I wanna tell y’all a story some of you may find this surprising but I grew up very poor and didn’t get to live with my parents for most of my childhood. My mom had employment issues so she worked as a stable hand for rich white people in Florida who wanted to own cows, chickens and horses but didn’t want to take care of them. She doesn’t get along with other adults due to her mental illnesses so she does best working alone with animals or small children. In trade for working on these farms, my mom got room and board in return to be paid and stay on the property. For years, I remember being sent on the weekends to help my mom take care of those animals on the farms. It was so much fun herding those cows, feeding chickens and collecting their eggs, raking the stalls, helping her load the hay and learning how to bridle, saddle, shoe, and ride those horses up and down the trails. And animals love children. They can sense you’re a baby and I remember how those animals would always follow me around on the pastures lol. I wouldn’t say I was a horse girl but my mom sure was. Even though she was poor and couldn’t afford taking me to theme parks (I grew up in FL) or traveling places, I’m very fond of these memories and have been feeling nostalgic about them lately. My mom has been a massive pos to me and my siblings for most our teenage years and adulthood but I know it comes from the trauma and stress of being a low income worker. I know it’s always been her dream to own land and own animals but she was too poor and dealt bad cards in life to achieve that. So it’s been my dream now, to one day buy a plot of land, buy some farm animals, build a house for my mom and let her retire there in peace, so she don’t have to be homeless again. So yeah, just wanted to share this lil story. I saw some people say the cowgirl hat must be a new sex appeal thing I’m doing or me saying on my tiktok that “I wanna ride a horse” must be an innuendo but it’s not. Yes I’m being sexy with the cowgirl hat but I also bought it because I miss legitimately wearing one :) Anyways I hope y’all enjoyed reading that and have a good day today ❤️
