It's fine if you only view OF as a business. That's what it was meant to be in the first place. For some, it's a meeting place. For others, it's a way to network. For the sake of argument I'm speaking from the Creator side because we all know why the fans are here.
That being said, we ***need*** to support each other. If you don't believe in lifting good, kind, honest, and respectful folks up (especially when they need it the most), this isn't the page for you. ## I just heard something (I won't mention the source because that might taint how people interpret this) that struck a chord - let me know if it feels the same for you:

The crux is that envy is seeing something, someone, somewhatever that you want and figuring out what you need to do or who you need to become to accomplish/be worthy. Jealousy? That's you seeing something someone else has and thinking they don't deserve to have that in the first place. Why do you think that is? Do you know their struggle? What they've gone through? I know I've made this point in the past, but above all else we should be trying to help each other not knock them down. There's more than enough conflict and bullshit in the world. Collaboration and achievement? There's never enough of that.
Work to do better, to improve yourself, to get to that pot of gold at the end of the πIt's not going to harm you and I'm willing to bet you'll be prouder of yourself at the end. There's so much more, but I feel like I'm already typing a novel so if you read all the way to the end, thank you!
