2021-11-15 13:21:36 +0000 UTC View PostEarn your weekend ๐๐ฅ CARDIO Edt: One of the biggest misconceptions for cardio is the idea that you MUST be dying out of breath by the end to see improvement, I thought this for a ling time and HATED running, then some people who really know their running blessed me with the wisdom that running for an hour+ at much slower speeds is what actually develops your lung capacity and increases cardiovascular stamina (how efficiently your body is using the oxygen in each breath, V02), these long slow runs are boring if you let them be, but nothing helped me develop more as a runner than these. Life gets in the way and I kind of started forgetting to do them but itโs never too late to relight the fire ๐ฅ๐ฅ Run 1.5 hrs (conversational; ~8:15/mile)
