I'd say it's a mix of both. You can't change someone's penny-pinching ways, but hey, there's hope for the clueless! Major shoutout to those ladies who straight-up express their stance and tell their man, "I love receiving gifts and I want you to surprise me." No more silly hints or playful teases. Me? I don't want to spell out to a guy that I want gifts from him. Just because it would sort of make them lose their charm. I'd rather just buy them myself, honestly.
