Thankful Thursday is today’s theme. Thank you for sending this pencil skirt from my Wishlist! I used to love wearing this length of a pencil skirt with a nice blazer & blouse when I taught at the university. #thankyou #feelinggrateful #gratitudepost Fun Fact: I’ve always had kind of ridiculously large calf muscles & used to try everything to get my legs smaller (to no avail), but now in my mid-40’s, I embrace that part of me & am grateful that my legs are dependable & sturdy to stand on, grateful that I don’t have any knee problems or difficulty walking, etc.

Most days I’m braiding one of my 104 clients’ hair, but sometimes if I get a cancellation, I have a chance to braid my own hair. 😊 In this tutorial, you’ll see my natural hair length, how I start the box braids so they don’t slip, and how to rock a hat when you have to step out with your hair halfway done. I haven’t used #30 this Auburn color of hair before, but I planned my fall look (dark crimson nails and auburn hair) to suit a September/October vibe since these braids will last awhile!
