Added 2025-04-06 13:06:41 +0000 UTCPart of the reason why I get stressed out and don’t like responding to personal messages is because at the height of the scandal I got thousands of messages every minute and most were hateful and/or death threats. I do my best because logically I know that nearly all of my subscribers now support me but nothing will eliminate the trauma and fear of a notification when at the time people called in horrid knife-related death threats to my own grandma. It’s tough. I still get trauma when I get an email notification which logically I know is ridiculous, but I gulp before opening up any message from anyone, including subscribers. I know how cruel people are and I do my best to not think about it. But this reluctance isn’t because I don’t care about people who care about me; it’s because after going through so much hatred I’m nervous to open anything.
