I work in an office, and there’s this girl I’ve had a crush on for months. She’s gorgeous, but what always gets me is her choice of footwear—she’s always wearing heels or sandals, and it drives me crazy. I try not to stare, but sometimes it’s impossible not to notice.
A few weeks ago, we were both at the printer, and I guess I was looking a little too long because she suddenly said, “You like my shoes or my feet?” I panicked and mumbled something about her having nice shoes, but she just raised an eyebrow and smirked. Ever since then, she’s been playfully teasing me—dangling her heels, wiggling her toes when we’re sitting next to each other, or randomly bringing up pedicures in conversation.
I don’t know if she’s messing with me or if she actually enjoys the attention, but part of me wants to find out. I just don’t want to make things awkward at work if I say the wrong thing.
