It’s been a while since I’ve shared my pole dancing journey ..

It’s been a while since I’ve shared my pole dancing journey with you. Here is choreography from level 2. I’ve taken level 2 twice now, and I’ve taken an exotic course as well. The levels focus on a lot of inversions, climbing the pole, and spin pole. The exotic course focuses on more dance movements on the ground and we wear heels! Each of these courses in challenging in different ways. As an adolescent I was quite prone to motion sickness. Nowadays I can usually ride comfortably in a car without getting carsick. However, dancing on spin pole is so difficult because it makes me dizzy and nauseous. And I’ve never been good at quickly learning dance combinations. I love how pole pushes me to grow in confidence and strength. I’ve also always carried a lot of anxiety with me. Trying new things and failing in front of others are things that trigger my anxiety. Pole pushes me out of my comfort zone in a good way. I am taking another exotic course soon, and I’m very excited! I will also need to decide soon if I am ready to move on to level 3. While I am probably ready for level 3, I have the urge to stay in level 2 and keep perfecting everything. There’s that pesky anxiety again! In this video I know I’m not doing all the movements quite right, but I feel like a capable queen. When I’m hanging upside down or swinging around the pole, I have to trust my body to hold me up, to remember the movement. Pole dancing is teaching me to believe in myself. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this insight into my journey. Do you struggle from any kind of anxiety, and have you found a method to work through it and expand your horizons? 🤍
