I've been avoiding yoga...it makes me feel things. I've been focusing my attention on making music, doing photography and running my business. I get so into my cerebral work that I almost lose interest in my body. I'm focusing on ideas rather than bodily sensations. This can only go on for so many days before I start to feel like a slug...heavy and uninspired. So I know I have to crawl back to my yoga mat eventually....eventually the discomfort in my body grows so great that I just have to stretch it out. A few days of this pushing myself to just do it and then the body softens and I remember how amazing I feel when I'm all stretched out. I feel free. And then I can't get enough yoga. What does success mean to you? This past year, for me success has meant that I'm doing lots of yoga, preferably outside in warm weather whenever I want. My own schedule, enjoying my own body. I know stretching is tough to get into. When I feel intimidated by it, I give myself permission to just do it for 60 seconds. It seems to grow naturally from there. Don't force, just feel. If your body hurts too and you know you need to stretch but don't feel like it...just try a little bit wth me while you watch this video. 🍍 Love, cha
