Added 2022-08-05 12:26:06 +0000 UTCI spend all day mastering songs for my next album. Currently I have seven song (almost) ready to go. They each need a little tweak — turn down high frequencies of vocals, lower volume of clap, add extra layer to kick sub so it feels fuller. I edit on the computer and then I hop in the car and drive around playing the songs as I fly down the freeway with my hand out the window. Does it make me happy when I drive? Do I hear something that bugs me? I return to the computer to make the updates and I head out again and again until I kiss my fingers because the songs all feel perfect. 💋🫶🏼💕 — this song is called “Words I Need to Say” ✌🏼✨🎼🎧🌻 I wrote it on the piano last summer in my studio, during the heat wave, sweaty and digging deep into emotions (as usual). I write it about something I felt with my mother. I’m dedicating the song to her. I know she connects with the lyrics. 🌼
