Let's talk about cultivating self love and self acceptance because I know lots of us are dealing with generating more of this. As humans, we do all we can to experience love and everything we can to avoid of lack of it. But there’s a big difference between the need for love and being needy for love. When you are needy for love, it simply means that you are missing love and approval from the most important person which is ourselves, and the external "love" that we seek from others are illusory and temporary band-aid to cover-up our sufferings. We do everything we can to avoid the feeling of sadness, fear, depression by consumption and drowning ourselves in sense pleasures and consumption; such as watching TV, eating, sleeping, shopping, working, talking to someone, aimless scrolling on social media etc. Some of us even use toxins such as drugs and alcohol to generate a false feeling of pleasure, not knowing that what we are feeding our consiocuseness and body is worsening our depression, anxiety, fear, guit etc.. What are you consuming daily that are not nourishing your soul? What would you like to do instead that can cultivate more happiness and joy?
