If you lack any of these elements in your relationship, it is not true love. It is just addictive clinging. You cling to that perons/thing because you think they can complete you and bring you happiness. But in fact we are merely using the externals to compensate for our inner feelings of lack. You are not in love with the person you are with, but their image and glamour you have created and imposed on for them. We need to ask ourselves "Do I really love that person, or am I in love with the glamour I have projected onto him/her/them?"
