When Phil told me that we'd be staying above the clouds, my genuine first thought was that sounds BRUTALLY COLD! but then I remembered we were in S.E. Asia lol. The last two pics in this post we took at one of the most interiorly disgusting yet exterorily beautiful places that probably exist on this Earth. This was in Ninh Binh, a few weeks in to our last trip- and we had become acustomed at this point in time to Vietnamese low quality sewer systems, etc. - but this place took the cake ;) The ENTIRE! hotel reeked of the worst sulfuric sewerage scent you could imagine. The room was worse, and the room's BATHROOM was almost a fallout zone from how noxious this aroma was.
BUT!
Ninh Binh, the views from the hotel, and the lovely surrounding area were astonishinly beautiful and serene. Lovely moped cruises, views and boat rides awaited us!
