As I watch the squirrels busily collect seeds/nuts in my garden, I am reminded of their often undervalued role in our ecosystem. Squirrels are an excellent reforestation agent! Every year thousands of new trees grow because they forget where they buried their nuts 🥲
Essentially, they are planting seeds for the trees so maybe we should start thinking about them as nature's gardeners 🌳🐿️
