This one's for the geeks! 🤓 The pic on the left is the original 960 × 1280 px from over 2 decades ago. The middle and right are four times the size. They've been upscaled, de-noised (middle), and details have been recovered (right). Zoom in if you can't tell the difference. Every single photo and video remaster I've published since about a month ago gets this treatment. Videos even get framerate increases from 25fps to 50fps whenever possible as it makes them run smoother. No other OF site has this problem or uses these technologies. But since *our* archives date back to 1999 (when I was 29yo) it makes a ton of sense for us to restore all that classic material as best we can. You will find the occasional double entry, but that only means that the older post has not been remastered to 4k or HD. Even if an old post is labeled as a 'remaster' it's probably only been color corrected or it's an extended cut. All remastered versions from here on going forward will actually be AI (artificial intelligence) enhanced. More frames, higher resolution, less noise, more detail. Luckily we also figured out a workflow to restore old photos/screencaps in a similar fashion.
