These rocks are from great eruptions from before humans. That history means this area is seismically active. In fact, while I was here in 2020 there was a 7.4 earthquake that rocked the area. Earthquakes are not uncommon to the area. One that big is rare. I think we will see more earthquakes, volcano eruptions, and other geological changes as the earth wakes from her sleep. Change is happening.
