Yesterday was surgery day. I took this when I woke up from surgery around 9p last night. Sorry if it’s hard to hear me. All I said was “ I made it! They said that the surgery went really well, I won’t really know about anything else that’s going on with me until they run tests on what they took out of me. I love you guys and thank you for all the support… I’m really tired”
Got to the hospital at 11a and got prepped and ready to go but they didn’t actually start operating until 4p. So I got to spend some time with my dad talking until they brought me back. We shared stories and I told him how when I went to see Sullivan King at EBC a few weeks ago and that he told me “ you’re gonna make it and everything will be ok” and how much those words meant to me. My dad said looked like we had a good time from when he saw the pictures. And he said he wanted to go with us next time. So possible dads first rave coming soon 👀
I will say being wheeled into the OR I tried to remain calm but then as soon as I was in the room and was surrounded by all the doctors and nurses I started to panic a bit and started to cry cause it felt overwhelming. I’m now in a recover room and will be here a few days, up to a week because they wanna make sure everything is good and that the seal they made when they reattached my colon back together doesn’t have any leaks.
I wanna thank each and every one of you for all the love and support I’ve gotten over the last few months and just in general over all. You guys mean so much to me and have helped me stay strong and positive throughout this journey. I still don’t know what stage of cancer I have and won’t know anything until they run tests but I’m hoping that this surgery is all the treatment I need and that I’ll be cancer free 🙏🙏
