EX: Mucking stalls, picking hooves, turn in/out, fixing broken fences, filling/cleaning water tanks and buckets, desensitizing to new things, replacing new hay bales(or worse, relocating them🙄), blanketing when needed, collecting fresh poosamples for the vet, new salt blocks, bathes/clippings/brushes, graze time, medications etc. i don’t mind doing any of it because i truly love animals and unfortunately haven’t ever had my own horses, i used to barrel race my grandmas back in the day and i miss it terribly! this is a nice outlet for me since she had to get rid of all her farm animals when she got diagnosed with alzheimer's. These horses love and trust in me and it’s such a rewarding feeling. all these rich bastards only want to do the fun stuff-aka riding, little do they know their horses adore me more than them and they’re missing out on the best part-the bond- because I’m the only one spending the quality time lol. It’s hella hard work sometimes and it doesn’t pay well at all- but there’s nothing like walking into the barn first thing in the morning and all 30 horses in there are whinnying when they realize it’s me and know they’ll get extra spoils and love from me when I’m there🥰🥰 You could call work a happy place of mine🥰
