It has been abandon for many years. I really love these “big brick” buildings! They always make me think of those “Victorian” type buildings. The railway line from Ficksburg to Fouriesburg on to Bethlehem was completed in 1907. The last passenger train departed this station in about 1990. Founded in 1892, the town was named after Christoffel Fourie who was a local a farmer.
