It's really hard to find a place that's open in kharkiv because everything's closed due to bombings, but an Estonian foreign legionnaire was persistent enough to finally find one about 40 minutes away. It's an Olympic training pool, kind of Soviet-looking with a peeled painting of dolphins and a palm tree 😂 and amazingly no chlorine or bromine, just fresh water. As an American I thought this was strange, but if you're used to swimming in lakes, there's no need to dump chemicals into a pool. I really like it this way instead. It's much easier on my skin and long hair. As I swam, I had flashbacks to my happy memories in my youth in pools and they were so vivid and unexpected, they almost made me cry. What an intense experience. Anyways here's a video of me being grateful to you in the morning 😉
