Dante has a wonderful work, The Divine Comedy. He created his own model of the world in which even every sinner has his own place. There is heaven, hell, and purgatory. Hell has several rings, each of which holds people for certain sins, the further away, the more difficult. Dante's worst sin is treason. In my opinion, betrayal deserves such a place. After all, to betray a person is a terrible thing to do. The word "treason" itself implies many things. First, you can't betray someone you don't know. So, first you open your soul to the person, you teach him to trust yourself, you accustom him to be there for you. A person begins to believe the other person, becomes attached to him, begins to develop some feelings, cherishes some hopes. It can be friends, a couple, spouses, or lovers. They communicate, spend time together, both see it as a fairy tale, plan for the future, share joyful and sad moments with each other, tell their life story, their defeats and victories, fully reveal themselves to each other. And then, in one moment, everything falls apart. Either one of them didn't harbor too strong feelings, or some feelings turned out to be stronger, but in one moment one of them turns a blind eye to the other's feelings and turns away. But in adultery, it is not enough to turn away: you have to pull the punch. And that blow is either similar feelings for the other person, or just blind indifference. A person who has been betrayed stops trusting the world, stops trusting himself and his feelings. In every good deed to himself, in every good word he begins to look for a grain of betrayal and framing. He cannot pick himself up and start over, because he is haunted by the feeling that everything will happen again. The betrayed man loses himself. And the one who has betrayed, very often continues the same life, giving warmth and love already to another. But betrayal happens not only in love, it happens in friendship. Sometimes the one whom you consider a soul mate, turns away from you, and only wonder how you could be friends with such a person? Then you do not want friendship, you want peace. Then you start to treat people carefully and do not let them into your heart, leaving it only for yourself. He who betrayed once, will betray a second time. I believe that treason cannot be forgiven. If a person hesitates once, then he will do it a second time, because he is prone to it, because it is in his character. I wish people felt less of what cheating is, because it really reshapes all relationships with all people and destroys the little human world. 😇🤕🤗🤷👌😈
