Added 2020-05-28 15:18:13 +0000 UTCWhen I was 22 or 23 I created a brand / alter ego that was all about expressing myself and my sexuality in bold, confident, pop arty visuals, art and text. I had so much fun with it. There was even an exhibition in a Berlin gallery. And of course there was the book. Then the experience of writing a very personal book, having it published and being in the uncontrollable public eye overwhelmed me so much that I completely stopped creating and withdrew back into the safety of an anonymous lifestyle. I began Sofia Miles and this new chapter with all the experiences and adventures kept me busy and happy and that was that. One of the great benefits those past few months of quarantine have brought is it put me back in touch with my artist, creating self. Without the jetting around, running through cities and being the entertaining, chatty life of the (dinner) party there is time and space for that other me again. For going inward, dreaming, feeling and letting creativity do it’s trippy magic so it can be expressed outward for others to see, feel, hear and enjoy. I have missed that immensely and I feel everything is happening for a reason. In the end everything always falls into place and somehow life always takes you exactly to where you should be at any given moment.
